  • 📋 Digitals vs. Portfolio — What's the Difference

    Digitals are what agencies use to evaluate you. No heavy editing, no creative lighting — just an accurate representation of your natural features and proportions. Standard format is four shots: headshot, 3/4 body, full body, and profile.

    Portfolio comp cards are what gets you booked. These showcase your range and ability to embody a concept. Creative lighting, full retouching, multiple looks.

    Most NYC agencies want both. The session covers both.

    📸 What the Session Looks Like

    Two hours total — one hour per type.

    Digitals first: natural light, clean backgrounds, minimal direction beyond posture and expression. The goal is accuracy, not artistry.

    Portfolio second: five lighting configurations, unlimited outfit changes, active coaching and posing direction. This is where we push for variety.

    You'll see every shot in real-time on a monitor as we go.

    ✏️ Retouching

    Digitals are delivered with minimal editing — that's intentional and what agencies expect.

    Portfolio images include eight standard edits or one premium retouch (up to 4 hours of detailed work). Additional premium retouches are available at $50 each. If you need more volume at a lower price point, I'll connect you with vetted third-party retouchers starting at $10 per image.

    SoHo studio, easy subway access from any borough. Private changing area, steamer, makeup lighting, and space for an agent or friend if you want them there.

    Sessions available 7 days a week including evenings.
